Resetform after filling Date/Time via ContextUpdate

Hey,

i have an app in wich the Date/Time fields should be filled by clicking on a button.

Behind the button is the following formula:

UpdateContext({Total8:(Text( Now(); "[$-de-DE]dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss" ))})

This formula is working very good.

But if i want to create a new record by clicking on the "create" button on the main page,

the Date/Time fields are not resetted.

Behind the create button is the following formula:

ResetForm(EditForm1);;NewForm(EditForm1);;Navigate(EditScreen1;Fade)

Now, if i am filling the Date/Time fields by hand, the formula is working.

Only if i am using the  "Updatecontext"-button i can't reset the fields.

Can anyone help me?

Re: Resetform after filling Date/Time via ContextUpdate

Hi @Tobias,

So here you mean the ResetForm function will not reset the Date/Time fields if you updated its value by the updateContext function?

Could you please share more details about where you are using the Context Variable, the default property of the Date/Time fields?

ResetForm function would Re-set the Date/Time fields value to the value configured with the default property, I suspect you have the Total8 Context Variable configured with the default property of the Date/Time Field Input, if you would like to reset the DateTime Field to another value (here is no value configured), then under the Create Button, add another part of code:

ResetForm(EditForm1);;
UpdateContext({Total8:""});;
NewForm(EditForm1);;
Navigate(EditScreen1;Fade)

Check to see if this would help in your scenario.

Michael

Re: Resetform after filling Date/Time via ContextUpdate

Hey @v-micsh-msft

sorry i was on vacation.

I tried out your suggestion but it doesn't work.

I have a main page where all of my data sets are listed.

With a "+" i can create new data sets.

Behind this "+" i wrote your code.

In the new created form i have some DataCards. Every DataCard includes a button i have added separatly.

The code of one of the buttons is the following:

UpdateContext({Total8:(Text( Now(); "[$-de-DE]dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss" ))})

The value "Total8" was added to the DataCard as the default value.

It must have to do with the UpdateContext function.

Do you have another idea how it could work?

Thx for your help.

Regards,

Tobias

EDIT:

If i create a button on the EditScreen1 page with the following code

UpdateContext({Total8:""});;UpdateContext({Total7:""});;UpdateContext({Total6:""});;UpdateContext({Total5:""});;UpdateContext({Total4:""});;UpdateContext({Total3:""});;UpdateContext({Total2:""});;UpdateContext({Total1:""});;UpdateContext({Total:""});;UpdateContext({Total9:""})

every Date/Time field will be set to the value "0".

This is what i want by opening this page over the "+" button on the main page.
