Retrieve value from one column, based on another

Hi,

Pulling my hair out with this.

I have a SP list which I’m using as a User database for the app.

Columns as follows:

AppUser (Person Field), Unique User Ref (Text), Group 1(Yes/No), Group 1 Role(Choice)

I want to store 2 variables on app start.

I’d like to search the Unique User Ref field and if a match is found store the value of Group 1 in varGroup (true/false) and id like to store the (single) choice value of Role in varRole…

Is this possible? It’s blown my brain.

Finally worked it out!

Set variable by Filtering collection with Unique Ref.

Then use ‘Concat()’ to get the value from the Rose field.

Ok, so I’ve sort of got a work around by creating a gallery and filtering it and then retrieving the item.

Is there a better way though? Thanks
