Hi,

Why rich text editor only can insert text word but not paste in table and image?

Or any component can meet the requirement to paste in table or image?

Hi @XIOFEN_LIM ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? What effect or App function do you want to achieve by pasting tables and pictures?

For the Rich text editor Control, it is not supported to paste table with format or image. It's only for editing rich texts with certain format.

Please refer to below doc:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/controls/control-richtexteditor

Notice:

Currently supported features include:

  • Bold, Italic, Underline
  • Text color, highlight Color
  • Text Size
  • Numbered lists, bullet lists
  • Hyperlinks
  • Clear formatting

The truth is, there is not any controls or components in Power Apps could achieve that need currently.

Generally speaking, an App is for users to view/upload/update information and others would be able to view or make use of information shared with them. In Power Apps, you will be able to use various of controls such as gallery, data table, edit form to upload the data in tables, or use controls like Image, Camera, Attachments to upload Images. Power Automate could help with the process as well. All these controls, are leveraged to save data into data source.

If you would like to send data table and images that copied from files or websites, sending by email is an easier and more efficient way. Using Apps is for simplifying work flow and enhancing working efficiency, but not to complicate simple problems.

Hope this helps.

@v-jefferni is it possible for the RTE in Canvas App use the default RTE in Model Driven App? Some reports/data requires commentary from the users, a simple formatted table copied from excel should be rendered correctly in Canvas App RTE similar to the one used in Model Driven App.

not what i wanted to read but what i needed to read today - thank you fam
