Rule setting in PowerApps

Hello,  In PowerApps I'm trying to do a simple rules on my DataCards.  Let say I have 2 datacards;  DataCard1(RequestStatus) - dropdown list [Pending,Approved,Rejected] and DataCard2(Remarks) - textbox.  I want to use the Rules option in PowerApps when DataCard1(RequestStatus) is equal to approved, then DataCard2(Remarks) the properties display mode will set to disabled.

Thanks,

Ian

Re: Rule setting in PowerApps

To disable the remarks card when the request status is approved, I would simply set the display mode of your remarks card to the following formula:

If(DataCardValue1.Selected.Value = "Approved", DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit)

Here's a screenshot that illustrates this concept, based on the post that I've just answered here.

If you do want to create a rule, you would set the condition to DataCardValue1.Selected.Value  = "Approved", and then play out the action of setting of the display mode to disabled.
