Hi PowerUsers,
I was wondering if we have any mechanism to run a SQL query or call a view within PowerApps without involving MS flow?
I have a very large data set residing in the SQL table and I do not want to attach the complete table in PowerApps.
And do not want to use flow either !!
Is there any way around to get this done ?
Looking forward to your awesome responses 🙂
Regards,
Ali Nawaz
To the best of my knowledge there is no way to execute a SQL query from inside Power Apps without using SQL. You can approximate the same thing using ShowColumns() and Filter(). But your data source will use the full table/view that you are attaching to.
Hi Ali,
Not sure if you figured this out yet but there is an interesting related video by Brian Dang.
Here's the link: https://youtu.be/K_H5r0nzwy4
Hope it's helpful.
If you find a better solution, let me know!
Thanks,
Mike
