SQL Azure Connections not working on web.powerapps.com view of PowerApp

Hi,

Hope you can help me here. I have a very simple PowerApp which shows data from SQL Azure Table. The data connection works when I use it from the Desktop PowerApp, but no data is shown if I open it from http://web.powerapps.com view of the app.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Cheers!

Olli

Hi, just tested and it seems to work ok.  I am opening my PowerApp from web.powerapps.com with Chrome.  The data is from an SQL Azure Table (an Access Web App hosted on SharePoint Online).

I set up the connection a few weeks ago (when it still required a connection string) and have not edited the connection since.

It also works in PowerApp Studio and on my moible device (iOS)

I ran into this problem with a SQL connection I had setup a week or so ago (when we had to put in a connection string, not the four fields that you have to fill out now). I went into the web interface and edited the connection and put my connection information back in. Things seemed to work much better after that. I was noticing this most with an account other than the one I was using to create this app and found that I hadn't shared out the Azure SQL DB connection, just the app, and that was causing my issues with other users who were trying to use the app, but seeing no data.

Thank you for your replies.

I have done some more testing and found out that my PowerApp works on 4 out of 5 settings I have tested.

- PowerApps Desktop App shows the data from my SQL Azure table.

- PowerApps Android App shows the data from my SQL Azure table.

- PowerApps web.powerapps.com on Chrome shows the data from my SQL Azure table.

- PowerApps web.powerapps.com on Internet Explorer shows the data from my SQL Azure table.

- PowerApps web.powerapps.com on Firefox DOES NOT show the data.

Any idea what is different with Firefox?

The only thing I can think of in relation to Firefox is that the development team seem to have made some changes in the latest update, please see the notes to PowerApps release 2.0.460 where it mentions Firefox.

I guess you should make sure Firefox is the latest version, but that is a bit too obvious.

I would add that since the release notes mention that Powerapps will run in Firefox (presumably for the first time), it is possible you found an issue where Powerapps isn't running correctly in Firefox and that the PA team will address the issue.

Thanks guys!
