If Explicit Column Selection is enabled, it breaks the use of SQL tables sourcing dropdowns. Generates the following error:
"The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: The column 'Value' of the table wasn't found. inner exception: The column 'Value' of the table wasn't found."
Please do not turn this feature on for all apps until this is fixed.
Thanks for the feedback.
This is a known issue.
Please turn off this option for a temporary workaround if you are currently working with SQL Table in PowerApps.
Hi, what's the status with this issue? I'm facing the same problem with the Explicit column selection feature turned on. The feature is now listed under Preview Features saying "These features will be turned on for all apps soon..." So, I'm just wondering when will this happen and is the feature at it's release state currently or are there some fixes still ongoing?

Did you try File > App Settings > Advanced Settings.
You may need to save, close, and reopen studio for it to take effect.
Above steps will resolve the problem. I am not sure where Microsoft is at on resolving this.
Is there an article or link that explans exactly what this does and what data sources it is confirmed to work with? The setting just says:
Target data source must support this feature
But I've been unable to find what target sources do support it.
