Saved Field values from AzureAD not showing when opening form in view or Edit mode

I'm using the AzureAD connector to retrieve a list of Groups that a user is a member of.
My OnStart for the App is working:
ClearCollect(AllGroups,AddColumns(AzureAD.GetMemberGroups(User().Email, false ).Value,"GroupName",AzureAD.GetGroup(Value).displayName)

Users get a list of only those groups they are member using a ComboBox named "GnameDropdown1" where items = AllGroups

When selected, I have a text field from the SharePoint list named "ObjectToChange" default value set to: GnameDropdown1.Selected.GroupName
and lastly I have a "NametoChange" text field from the list that has the default = If ( TypeOfChange.Selected.Value = "Change Distribution List(Group)", GnameDropdown1.Selected.GroupName, SharedMailboxName.Selected.DisplayName).

All of this works great when creating an item, and in the view the values are displayed:
valueinview.png

and they can be edited in "Quick Edit" view.

But, when I open the item, neither field has any values in Read or Edit mode:

Not sure why the values are viewable in the view, but not in the form itself?

Re: Saved Field values from AzureAD not showing when opening form in view or Edit mode

Hi @shanemeisner ,

Could you please share a bit more about your issue?

Do you mean that the ObjectToChange field value and NameToChange field value could not be displayed when you open a form (may be a custom form in your SP List)?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue is related to the Default property of the ObjectToChange Text Input box and NameToChange Text Input box.

I have made a test on my side, please consider take a try with the following workaround:

Set the Default property of the Text Input box within the ObjectToChange data card in your Edit form to following:

If(
   EditForm1.Mode = FormMode.New,               /* <-- On your side, you may type SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.New */
   GnameDropdown1.Selected.GroupName,
Parent.Default /* <-- Add formula here */ )

Set the Default property of the Text Input box within the NametoChange data card in your Edit form to following:

If(
   EditForm1.Mode = FormMode.New,               /* <-- On your side, you may type SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.New */
   If(
TypeOfChange.Selected.Value = "Change Distribution List(Group)",
GnameDropdown1.Selected.GroupName,
SharedMailboxName.Selected.DisplayName
)
,
Parent.Default /* <-- Add formula here */ )

Please consider take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

Re: Saved Field values from AzureAD not showing when opening form in view or Edit mode

@DV-09 Thank you very much, that was exactly what I needed. The Values now show when opening a submited form in View/edit mode. Smiley Happy
