I need to save signatures from a form. While I could do that in Azure Blob storage (and am currently implementing that for uploading of certificates for classes, etc), I was going to put the signatures in the database as images. When I add a pen input control to my data card, I'm able to draw in it, but when I go to save, I get the following message:
The requested operation is invalid.Server Response: The field 'Binary.Type' of the record wasn't found. inner exception: The field 'Binary.Type' of the record wasn't found.
Is this expected behavior. Why would the form submission (save to database) not be able to save this field properly. Should I expect a pen input to save to Azure SQL DB properly?

Support for uploading images to SQL is not currently supported. However, it's on our roadmap and we are working on adding this functionality.

Any progress in this task?

Really need this now. Has this been started?
how's the update in this? is it traffic on the road?
This was resolved on early March 2018. I have added pen input signatures to SQL myself for a proof of concept. It worked with a SQL image data type, which scares me a bit as they are depreciated. I am working to now combine the HTML and pen input into a PDF myself. Hope this helps!
