Screen Navigation is not working

Hi,

We are having issues with the navigate function.

We have 4 screens:

  1. My Objective Screen
  2. My Manager's Objective Screen
  3. Active Objectives Screen
  4. Inactive Objectives Screen

On my Objective we have + icon which opens a Pop up where New Objective form is there. There is a save button on which I am saving the Form and navigating it back to the My Objective Screen.

Whenever users navigates to any of the screen then navigates to My Objective and tries to save a new Objective record then it navigates to some other Screen.

For eg:

If the User is on Active Objectives Screen, then navigates to My Objectives Screen.

Then clicks on + Icon to create a new record and clicks on Save Button, then it Navigates to Active Objectives Screen rather My Objective Screen.

To navigate between screen there are buttons at the bottom of each screen.

On Clicking the + Icon on top left will open a pop up with save button.

OnSelect Property of Save Button:

SubmitForm(EditFormObjectives);
ResetForm(EditFormObjectives);
UpdateContext({ShowObjectivesDetails:false});
Navigate([@BrowseScreenObjectives],ScreenTransition.None);
Refresh([@Objectives])

Hope someone can help me with this.

There was a Back() function present in the OnSuccess property of the Edit form which was causing this issue.

I removed the Back() function and this resolved the issue.

Hi @tjalui ,

Based on the needs that you mentioned, I think it is not necessary to specify Navigate formula within the OnSelect property of the "Save" button.

If you are in "My Objective Screen" already, you just need to hide the "New Objective form" Pop up box. So please modify your formula as below:

SubmitForm(EditFormObjectives);
ResetForm(EditFormObjectives);
UpdateContext({ShowObjectivesDetails:false}); // Hide the "New Objective form" Pop up box
Refresh([@Objectives])

Also please check if you have typed some Navigate formula (Navigate(..), Back()) within the OnVisible property of your "My Objective Screen", if yes, please remove it, then try it again.

I had tried deleting the Navigate formula and just keeping the visibility variable to false.

But somehow it is still navigating to other screen without the Navigate formula.

And there is no Navigate formula on the OnVisible property of the  "My Objective Screen".

It gets navigated to the screen which was visible before going to the  "My Objective Screen".

Hi @tjalui ,

Have you turned on the "Keep recently visited screens in memory" option in Advanced settings of App settings of your app?

Please make sure you have turned off the "Keep recently visited screens in memory" option in Advanced settings of App settings of your app, then try the formula again within your app, check if the issue is solved.

I have kept every Preview features and experimental features off.

Except Common Data Service new file and image data types

Rest all the features are kept off.

This navigation issue has become very critical.

There was a Back() function present in the OnSuccess property of the Edit form which was causing this issue.

I removed the Back() function and this resolved the issue.
