Hi,
I am currently trying to create an app for tablet that works in portrait mode.
I have set the screen size to custom 1536 x 2048 to get the correct resolution.
When I publish the app and open it on iPad I have the problem that it will always stay in landscape orientation despite the height and width being set for portait.
I have tried using a standard format and even with portrait orientation selected and orientation lock slider on on, it will always open in landscape mode on my tablet.
Any suggestions?
Thank you 🙂

Hi @GamerGirl123 ,
Do you want to create a responsive layouts canvas app on your side?
Please consider turn off the "Scale to fit" option and the "Lock orientation" option within "Screen size + orientation" settings of App settings of your app.
In addition, based on the needs that you mentioned, I think the responsive layouts functionality could achieve your needs. Please check and see if the following article or blog could help in your scenario:

Hi v-xida-msft,
Thank you very much for your post, this was exactly what I have been looking for! I think making my app responsive will be my next task after the initial version is complete.
I have also managed to fix the orientation problem with the screen being stuck in landscape with the following settings:
Size Custom: 2048x1536
Scale to fit: On
Lock aspect ratio: On
Lock screen orientation: Off
Thank you for your help 🙂
