Hi All,

Trying to create a search bar that will allow a user to search for the name of a product within a sharepoint list, cant seem to get it to work though.

The column of interest is called Title

Thanks in advance 🙂

Re: Search Bar Help

You can use any control that displays multiple items (e.g., gallery, dropdown, listbox), and in its Items property use the Search function that searches within that list for the value in a text input control. For example:

Search(SharePointListName, TextInput1.Text, "Title")

As the user types the name of the product in the text input control, the list of products that is displayed will be filtered to only those whose title contain the name. At that point, the user can select one of the items, after which you can take some action based on the selection.

Re: Search Bar Help

Hi Carlos,

I have already used the "items" section of my gallery to filter and sort my share point list based on other criteria, is there a way I can add the search funcction in as well ?

This is what it looks like currently

Re: Search Bar Help

You can seperate different functions with semi colon ;

Ex.

Filter(x,x); Navigate (x,x)

Re: Search Bar Help

You can combine the Search and Filter functions - the result of one of them can be passed as the parameter to the other. In your case, this could work:

SearchByColumns(
    Filter(
        Search('Analytical Lab Inventory', SearchTextBox1.Text, "Title"),
        OData__x006e_213 = "1"),
    "Title",
    If(SortDescending1, Ascending, Descending))
