hi @Rubio_Damien

 I am going to assume your current filter looks something like

Filter(theDataSource,StartsWith(Column,TextInput.Text)) and thats working

now lets add a combobox and call it combobox1

You can change your filter to look like

Filter(theDataSource,StartsWith(Column,TextInput1.Text) || "TheOtherColumn" = ComboBox1.Selected.Value)

where "TheOtherColumn" is the column you wish to filter. The || allows you to search both the searchbox and combobox.

hope this helps

hey there if you liked the post give it a thumbs up, and if it solved your question please accept it as a solution.

Hi @Rubio_Damien,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to filter based on a search box or dropdown selected?

Could you please share a bit more about the scenario?

From your description, you want to filter based on either of the search box or the dropdown selected, or you want to filter both.

I want to advise that you could check if the search box is blank firstly, then check if the dropdown selected is blank, and if both of them have content within, filter the gallery based on both.

Note that I assume that you have a general column, so I set the Combo Box in my scenario as below:

Distinct(Table1,Title)

Set the Items property of the Gallery as below:

If(
    IsBlank(TextSearchBox1.Text),
    Filter(
        Table1,
        Title = ComboBox5.Selected.Result
    ),
    IsBlank(ComboBox5.Selected.Result) || IsEmpty(ComboBox5.Selected.Result),
    Filter(
        Table1,
        StartsWith(
            Event,
            TextSearchBox1.Text
        )
    ),
    Filter(
        Table1,
        StartsWith(
            Event,
            TextSearchBox1.Text
        ) && Title = ComboBox5.Selected.Result
    )
)

Note that the Title and Event column are both text column in my table.

Check if it could help you.

Qi

@v-qiaqi-msft

hi,

I have test this solution and i have only one filter or the other, never the both.

In my dropdown i have add the value manually and when i have blank effectively i have the filter on my searchbox ans not on the dropdown, but if i have value in the both filter i have no result.

Any idea ?

@v-qiaqi-msft Attach a solution who is running.

In fact in my dropdown i have write value manually to add a value "all" when i don't want to filter on the dropdown.

Just a last question, how to manage this code if i have one more dropdown to add to my multiple filter ?

Hi @Rubio_Damien,

Do you want to combine one more dropdown filter with your Ddmref filter based on the search redult?

Could you please tell me that what is the logic relationship between the Ddmref and another Dropdown, && or || which means that if you want to filter the Ddmref and another Dropdown at the same time or filter the Ddmref  || another Dropdown?

I want to confirm with you that if you want to filter the data source based on the search box firstly, then filter based on the both Dropdown, please try as below:

If(Ddmref.Selected.Value="All";
  Search(LAD_1;searchtitle.Text;"Title_of_document");
  Filter(LAD_1;Referential_type=Ddmref.Selected.Value && FiledName=AnotherDd.Selected.Value)
  )

Check if this could help you.

Qi

In fact i would like to have the possibility to filter on one of the three, two of three or the three filter.

I hope it's more clear 🙂

Hi @Rubio_Damien

Since you do not provide the condition that triggers your second dropdown filter, so by default, I thought that you want to satisfy both.

In my scenario, I have another Dropdown named Dropdown5, not sure about your condition to trigger the second Dropdown, I just assume the same condition as your Ddmref. If Dropdown5 has an option like "All", filter based on the previously condition,otherwise filter based on previously condition and the Dropdown5  selected value.

Filter(
    Search(
        Table1;
        searchtitle.Text;
        "Title_of_document"
    );
    If(
        Ddmref.Selected.Value = "All";
        If(
            Dropdown5.Selected.Value = "All";
            true;
            Country = Dropdown5.Selected.Value
        );
        If(
            Dropdown5.Selected.Value = "All";
            Referential_type= Ddmref.Selected.Value;
            Referential_type= Ddmref.Selected.Value && Country = Dropdown5.Selected.Value
        )
    )
)
