Searching across one to many relationship

Hi
I am building a Canvas App which needs to search across one to many relationship with CDS connector.
For example account has many contacts.
I want to be able to search contacts and show the matching accounts on a gallery that is connected to an accounts data source.
Any pointers? note I do not want to get result set of matched contacts and then navigate to account.

Re: Searching across one to many relationship

Hi @Canberraranger ,

Do you want to search based on lookup field?

Do you mean that:

1)account and contact relationship is 1:N (so the lookup field should exists in contact entity)

2)filter based on contact entity and display the related account entity records?

If so, I've made a similar test for your reference:

1)If you use a drop down to filter

insert a drop down to display the data of the "N" entity

set the drop down's Items:

 contact

Set the gallery's Items:

Filter(testones,Name=Dropdown2.Selected.testone.Name)

On your side you should try:

Filter(account,Name=Dropdown1.Selected.account.Name)

2)If you use a textinput to filter

Set the gallery's Items:

Filter(testmanies,TextInput2.Text in Name).testone.Name

On your side you should try:

Filter(contacts,TextInput2.Text in Name).account.Name
