Self-referential many-to-many relationships. Display relationship in gallery

Hello,

I have an entity called Securities which has a many to many relationship with itself.

Securities can support many and be supported by many securities. I am working on a canvas app solution.

I am able to show a Security's "supported by" securities in a gallery. I use the following in the gallery's items property:

SelectedSecurity.Securities

I am unable to work out how to show which securities the SelectedSecurity supports.

So, it seems I can get 1 side of the relationship but not the other. Am I missing something or have I not understood something here. Has anyone got an example where they have done this successfully?

Any help much appreciated as ever.

Thanks @carfup ,

I just had a read through and tried using galleries to get the relationships as detailed in the article. It didn't work.

Hi @JT_Corrin,

I'm facing a similar issue..

When creating a self reference (many-to-many) within my entity, I can relate my records but I only get to work them one sided. So when I relate record A with record B, I can see the relationship from record A but not the other way around.

Can you explain how you solved your issue?

hi @Sienaert,

I honestly can't remember if I solved this one and have since moved places of work so can't go and check! Sorry about that!
