Send Collection data to SQL DB.

Hi All.

I try to use PowerApps Offline.

Therefore, I need to send the Collection data to SQL DB.

1. Save Data into Collection.

Collect(tmp_checklist_tosend;
{
vehiculo_patente: Input_Patente.Text
})
;;
SaveData(tmp_checklist_tosend;"temporary_tosend")

2. Send the Collection data to SQL DB (But I have a error)

ForAll(tmp_checklist_tosend;
Patch('[dbo].[Checklist]';
Defaults('[dbo].[Checklist]');
{
vehiculo_patente: tmp_checklist_tosend.vehiculo_patente
}))

Send.png

Error: The type of argument "patent vehicle" does not match the expected type "Text". Type found "Table".

Can you help me?

Thanks!

Re: Send Collection data to SQL DB.

Hi @gabrielv22

I think the reason this is happening is because tmp_checklist_tosend is a collection that can contain contain multiple rows.

One way to work around this is to select the first record from tmp_checklist_tosend using  the First function, as shown here.

ForAll(tmp_checklist_tosend;
       Patch('[dbo].[Checklist]';
             Defaults('[dbo].[Checklist]');
             {
             vehiculo_patente: First(tmp_checklist_tosend).vehiculo_patente
              }
)
)
