Send Meeting Notes to SQL Rather Than SharePoint

I have an app that currently sends all data related to meetings I attend to SharePoint.  We then pull that data from SharePoint into a Power BI report.

I now have the ability to connect directly to SQL from PowerApps.  Can I send my information to SQL rather than the "middle-man" of SharePoint?

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous

You will need to have a SQL connector to a table in your SQL account that contains the same fields as your SharePoint list.  Just point your app to the new connector and you should be in business.

I think I'm following.  Since I'm pulling that data from SP to SQL, the names should be the same.  I'm going to check this out.

Thank you

@Anonymous

I am not conversant with sql but I suspect that you can move all your old data over from SharePoint as well.

Correct. I can see all of the data currently in SQL.  However, when I point the app to SQL, despite the fields being named the same, the majority of the fields have an error.  *Name isn't valid.

There can be a difference between actual SharePoint column names and display names. You may need to play around with your sql field names to make them match.

Understood.  Thanks!

I'm not at a computer to test but try going into SharePoint and copying the names directly from there.
