Sending HTML to my flow but include gallery all items

Hello community.

I hope someone could help me trying to solve this:

Currently in my powerapps form I have a button that send the html content to my flow to generate an html file in my onedrive then convert to PDF then save to SharePoint. So far so good that process is working fine.

The html control has the table styles i.e:

style type='text/css'>
.tg {border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:0;}
.tg td{border-color:black;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;font-size:14px;
overflow:hidden;padding:10px 5px;word-break:normal;}

And the information required is in the same html control for instance:

<tr>
<td class='tg-t41y'>Priority</td>
<td class='tg-t41y' colspan='2'>&"ThisItem.Priority.Value"&</td>
</tr>

Now, I need to include all the items that I have in a gallery. Those Items are from a different Share Point lists. And I have that list filtered like parentID / ChildID

I would like to include all of the items in the gallery at the end of my htmlcontent in a table style also. But I can't figure out how to do it. And also I don't know if I can do something like a lookup on the fly to generate that table because again the values are filtered when I am navigating to that screen.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards

No problem!!

Okay so then you just need to Filter the Gallery.

You were sort of close!!  Just that it is not a lookup.  See this formula below where your filter is worked in:

"<html>
   <head>...info here</head>
   <body>
     <table>
         <tr>
            <th>The Title</th><th>Description</th><th>Amount</th><th>The Date</th>
         </tr>" &
    Concat(Filter(yourGallery.AllItems, Request_LC, Title = varRecord.Title),
        $"<tr>
            <td>{Title}</td><td>{Description}</td><td>{Text(Amount, "$#,##0.00")}</td><td>{Text(Date, ShortDate)}</td>
          </tr>"
    ) &
    "</table><br><br>

    Your Looked Up value is: " & LookUp(someList, Something = "Something", ValueColumnName) & "
  </body>
</html>"

Yes...you can include any functions you want in your text to "generate" your html.

In general, if you have a gallery and want to convert to an html table, the process would be the following (without knowing specifics of your data and any styling for the table):

"<html>
   <head>...info here</head>
   <body>
     <table>
         <tr>
            <th>Col1</th><th>Col2</th><th>Col3</th>
         </tr>" &
    Concat(yourGallery.AllItems,
        $"<tr>
            <td>{Col1}</td><td>{Col2}</td><td>{Col3}</td>
          </tr>"
    ) &
    "</table>
  </body>
</html>"

You can also include any lookups you want in the formula.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Sir. Thank you very much for your prompt response.

No wonder why you are in the number 1 position for the Top guys.

Let me try to digest this. I am in baby steps in HTML

My gallery items are equal to this:

Filter(Request_LC, Title = varRecord.Title)

So this is as many columns do I need?

<th>Col1</th><th>Col2</th><th>Col3</th>

This is the tag for the columns name in that gallery?

td>{Col1}</td><td>{Col2}</td><td>{Col3}</td>

And the lookup will be like this?

Concat(LookUp(yourGallery.AllItems, Request_LC, Title = varRecord.Title)

Sorry if I didn't get anything.

@sajarac

No worries Santiago!

Let me explain a little.

And HTML Table has several basic components.  The Table tag, the TR (Table Row) tag, and the individual TD (Table Data) tags.    In the example, I also used TH tags, which are identical to TD tags except that they denote a table header tag...as in the column header.

So in the example, I just showed a made up scenario of 3 columns called Col1 Col2 and Col3.  The Header row showed just those three:

<th>Col1</th><th>Col2</th><th>Col3</th>

You can have many more or less depending on your needs.  The sky's the limit!  This is all just text.

And - the KEY thing to remember is this is all just text!!  You can sprinkle any number of PowerApps formulas and functions into the text as you want.  It is, when done, just text.  Getting the HTML tags correct will be important ONLY from the conversion from HTML to PDF process.  If the tags are screwy, then the PDF will not come out right.

So, if you have, for example, 5 columns (5 TH's) then you need to provide 5 TD's for each TR in your Table.  If you don't then formats get screwy.

As for the PowerApps formula side of this...your Gallery has full records from your Request_LC datasource...so ANY column you want from it can be used in the formula.

So, let's pretend you have a Title column (text), a Description column (text), an Amount column (number) and a Date column (date obviously).

Then the formula I provided before would be more like this:

"<html>
   <head>...info here</head>
   <body>
     <table>
         <tr>
            <th>The Title</th><th>Description</th><th>Amount</th><th>The Date</th>
         </tr>" &
    Concat(yourGallery.AllItems,
        $"<tr>
            <td>{Title}</td><td>{Description}</td><td>{Text(Amount, "$#,##0.00")}</td><td>{Text(Date, ShortDate)}</td>
          </tr>"
    ) &
    "</table><br><br>

    Your Looked Up value is: " & LookUp(someList, Something = "Something", ValueColumnName) & "
  </body>
</html>"

Note, I added a lookup example in there as well.

BUT, the Lookup part you are asking specifically for Lookup into your Gallery...you don't need to do that in your formula (at least I am not understanding why you would in this case).  Unless - Are you stating that your Gallery will have more information in it than you want and you only want the table to be a filtered set of the data in the gallery??

information in it than you want and you only want the table to be a filtered set of the data in the gallery??

Correct. That gallery has more information and I only need the filtered values based in my current form.

And wow, thanks again for such a well explanation.
