Sending values from text boxes to sharepoint list

I've created a sharepoint list form with a fee calculator which uses text boxes. These are not connected to the sharepoint list but I was wondering if there was a way to do that? By using 'patch' maybe?

@Slumpig ,

Yes, you are on the right track.

To save data to a sharepoint list you need to create a connection first to that list.

After that, Patch() function do the magic (otherwise you can use a form). You can find more details about the patch function here .

Hi @Slumpig :

Yes.It can be done.

Step1:

Add your SPlist as a data source.

I think this link will help you a lot:

Connect to SharePoint from a canvas app

Step2:

Add a button and set it's OnSelect property to:

Patch(
  YourSPList,
  Specify a record,/*If you want to update a record*/
  {TheColumn:TheValue}
)

or

Patch(
  YourSPList,
  Defaults(YourSPList),/*If you want to add a new record*/
  {Title:"XXX",TheColumn:TheValue}
)

I think this link will help you a lot:
