Set datepicker to blank in form on dropdown change event

I have a form which is connected to a sharepoint datasource. In this form i have a dropdown ,peoplepicker,datecontols.

When i click on new form and entered data it is saved in sharepoint list . Now,when i caome to edit form the values are displayed correctly . My scenario in edit form when i select a dropdown my date picker should be set blank.

I tried on change event of dropdown to reset(datepickercontol), but not working. How to do that.

Re: Set datepicker to blank in form on dropdown change event

@santukondapally ,

What is the DefaultDate of the DatePicker? If Parent.Default, try putting this on the OnChange of your other control

UpdateContext({vNoDate:true});
Reset(YourDatePickerName})

On the DefaultDate of the Date Picker

If(
   vNoDate,
   Blank(),
   Parent.Default
)

Add to the Save and (if any) Exit button code

UpdateContext({vNoDate:false})

Re: Set datepicker to blank in form on dropdown change event

Hi @santukondapally ,

Turn on Formula Level Error Management in Advanced settings and the reset (providing you have nothing in the Default of the Date Picker) should do the job.

Re: Set datepicker to blank in form on dropdown change event

Hi @santukondapally ,

Please try to set a variable in dropdown.OnChange property as follows

Set(Var1, true)

Then set the Default property of Date Picker control as follows to set it blank if the dropdown is changed

If(Var1,Blank(),Parent.Default)

Finally, Set Va1 to false when the form is submitted or reset in order to show the default date in common case.

In addition, as @WarrenBelz mentioned, the important premise is to enable the Formula level error management Experimental features if you want to patch blank to sharepoint list. For more reference: New Experimental Feature: Error Handling and Writing Null values to databases

Hope this helps.

Re: Set datepicker to blank in form on dropdown change event

Hi @santukondapally ,

Have you tried my solution above?  It should work to set the date picker to blank.

If you even want to remove anything in the date box, clear the Date Picker's InputTextPlaceholder property as well, based on my solution above.

Hope this helps.
