Setting Default Value for Combo box

I am creating some custom forms in Powerapps for a Sharepoint list

I have a combo box which updates a "Single line of text" field in Sharepoint called "Digital Assigned Name".  I pull the combo box options (User.DisplayName) from a second Sharepoint list ("Marketing Job Assignees"), and limit to a single selection.  The form saves to my main Sharepoint list exactly as I would expect.

However, when I edit the entry, the existing value is not selected in the combo box.  How can I do this?

I have tried the following, but but get a "This formula uses scope...." message, which I don't really understand what to do about...

Combo box "Digital Assigned Name" > DefaultSelectedItems

LookUp('Marketing Job Assignees', User.DisplayName = ThisItem.'Digital Assigned Name')

Re: Setting Default Value for Combo box

I tried a bunch of different things, but eventually this worked

Combo box "Digital Assigned Name" > DefaultSelectedItems

Table({ Value: ThisItem.'Digital Assigned Name' })
