Setting a group as the default value of a people picker field

I am currently making an app form that has a people picker field which determines the people the form gets sent to. My datasource is a SharePoint list that has a Person or Group column in it. The value of the field relies on the value of another combo box. So far, I was able to set the value of the people picker field to specific users, which changes depending on the value of the combo box. However, there is a value in the combo box that asks for the people picker field to have a group as its value.

It doesn't seem like it's impossible to select groups in the field. I can type a group's name and select it. I am new to PowerApps so maybe I am missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Setting a group as the default value of a people picker field

Hi @rbarrameda

 Do you want to update group by not using combo box?

The formulas to update person and group are different.

The formula to update person:

{'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
        Claims:"i:0#.f|membership|" & Emailaddress,
    Department:"",
   DisplayName:FullName,
         Email:Emailaddress,
      JobTitle:"",
       Picture:""

The formula to update group:

{'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
        Claims:"c:0o.c|federateddirectoryclaimprovider|group objectID",
    Department:"",
   DisplayName:"groupname Members",
         Email:"group email address",
      JobTitle:"",
       Picture:""
   }

You could find your group objectID in adure AD admin center.

 I've made a similar test, here's the formula that I use:

{'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
        Claims:"c:0o.c|federateddirectoryclaimprovider|17347cb7-aaef-4361-915e-7d4.....",
    Department:"",
   DisplayName:"test126126 Members",
         Email:"test126126@.....com",
      JobTitle:"",
       Picture:""
   }
