Hello Everyone,
Ich made a Canvas App with PowerApps. Now I finished the App and I want to Share the App. In the App/Flow i used a File-System Conector. In de Connector i saved a Username and a Password. This Username and Password isn't for everyone in the Company. When an Employee opens the App, he is asked to fill in the username and Password.
Isn't it possible to share this Credentials for every User?
Thank you for your Solutions.

Hi @Service_O365 ,
Do you mean if you have shared the app and File Systems connection, the employee still needs authentication information?
As can be seen from the image of App sharing, there is no way to share the credentials for users. So each time users open the app, he would be asked to fill in the root folder, username and password.
If you want more feedback on File System connector, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas , if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
Best regards,
Sik

Hi @v-siky-msft is this still the case? Im going through the same scenario and do not want users to have to input and enter Root folder. Or is this a one time only step?
I have added Gateway users to see if this would fix the issue, but apparently not.
Thanks
I'm having the same issue. My users have to sign in when they first start using the app. It would be easier to make this connection implicit.
You can try using Power Automate to connect instead and then call the flow from your app. Power Automate should retain the connection information. I unfortunately cannot test this particular scenario to present a concrete example.
I have tried sharing via Power Automate, however the connector still asks for users to authenticate and specify the correct folder.
Hi, I am in the same situation. Is there any alternative to avoid asking users to authenticate and specify the correct folder, when you share a canvas app with File System connector?
