@johnjohn123

The date shown in your DatePicker is only a hint showing what format the date should be entered in.  You'll find it in the InputPlaceHolderText property.

You have opened several different threads (including this one) in the past few hours. By opening so many posts on the same them it is hard to know what you want.

I suggest you go back and work through them before asking more questions.  The solution to one of these questions could change your app and make the rest of the questions irrelevant.

Or, if you are done with those threads suggest you go back and Accept as Solution for any posts that led to an answer.

Re: SharePoint Date field is showing with a default value = 12/31/2001

How do you set the InputTextPlaceholder field to "blank"?  I deleted all the text in the InputTextPlaceholder field and am able to publish changes, but the date "12/31/2001" still shows when I view an existing list item.

UPDATE: I only updated the InputTextPlaceholder field for the CreateItem form. I forgot to update the "EditItem" and "ShowItem" forms as well. Deleting all the text in the InputTextPlaceholder field works as expected.
