SharePoint Document Library Hidden Column Copy Source in PowerApps Form

Hi

One of our client was using Copy To option in Document Library in their On Prem SharePoint 2013. When they use Copy To option, the copied document's _CopySource hidden field has the source document url. In On Prem SharePoint 2013, if the document has value in _CopySource field, in the View/Edit form properties shows message that the document is copied from the source with hyperlink. Now the client has migrated all the content to SharePoint online. The client is using Modern Experience for Sites. After migration, the _CopySource value also copied and can be viewed in Classic Experiecen. But in Modern Experience there is no option to view it. But the client needed that options.

We tried with PowerApps form, to display the value of _CopySource field. But PowerApps form not showing in the list of field available.

I Just wanted to is there any way to show SharePoint hidden field values in PowerApps form?

Thanks

Re: SharePoint Document Library Hidden Column Copy Source in PowerApps Form

Hi @CVairavan ,

Do you want to display _CopySource field in powerapps?

I'm afraid it's not supported to display it in powerapps currently.

Not all sharepoint columns are supported in powerapps:

 I think _CopySource should be one of the not-supported fields.

I suggest you post your idea about supporting this field in powerapps in our idea forum:

If many people vote for you, this feather may come true in the future.

You can use a Flow SharePoint HTTP Request to grab the copysource field.

URI:
_api/web/lists/getByTitle('MyLibrary')/items?$select=OData__CopySource&$filter=Created ge datetime'2020-08-01T00:00:00'

Output:

{
  "odata.metadata": "https://abc123.sharepoint.com/sites/sub1/sub2/_api/$metadata#SP.ListData.DevCDSApprovalsItems&$select=OData__CopySource",
  "value": [
    {
      "odata.type": "SP.Data.DevCDSApprovalsItem",
      "odata.id": "aba4f7dc-6fe7-482c-953a-4685b14bfa3a",
      "odata.etag": "\"0\"",
      "odata.editLink": "Web/Lists(guid'4160a4d6-808a-82c1-f0fa-375acdcc9773')/Items(1157)",
      "OData__CopySource": "https://123.sharepoint.com/sites/funsite/anothersite/alibrary/lulz.pdf"
    }
  ]
}
