Hi all,

I am currently trying to create a SharePoint form, but I keep getting told that my fields are invalid when I go to input data and save the form, can someone walk me through the steps of how to correct this issue?

Thank you.

Re: SharePoint Forms

Hey @DM1029

Can you please confirm the data source that you are using? If you are getting invalid fields error, this means that the fields does not corresponds to a valid data source.

To resolve this, you need to select the whole form and not the individual cards(this could be done from the left menu), now when the form is selected, go to properties on the right menu and select Fields. Remove all the existing fields and add them again. This should resolve the error, if it does not, please share more details.

Note: Edit Forms doesn't work with local collections.

Hope this Helps!

Re: SharePoint Forms

Hi @DM1029 ,

Can you share more details with issue?

Did you ever unlock the card and modify the property of form? Did you change the Update property of data cards?

The error is probably because the data type you submitted does not match the field type.

1. check each data card value, ensure the type is correct.

2. check Update property of data card, check if the return value of formula match the required type.

3. Patch only a few fields at a time and try several times, to confirm which field causes the error.

Best regards,
