SharePoint Hub site and lists

Hi,

I have been looking for an answer for the last few hours but have had no luck.

Is it possible to connect to a sharepoint list in a hub site. Every time I try I get the error “We didn’t find a site with the address”.

Thank you

Given the format of the URL I assume you are using an on-premises version of SharePoint.  SharePoint online sites always use a URL that is in the format of https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com.  If you are working with an on-premises environment you'll need to go through an on-premises gateway to access the site.  I suspect what you are trying to connect to is actually some kind of a proxy site, and not the SharePoint hub site itself.

SharePoint hub sites are just like any other SharePoint site.  You can connect to it as a data source by using the SharePoint connector, supplying the URL for the site, and then picking a list or library on the site.  But if you are asking whether you can connect to a list in a hub site using a connector that is connected to one of the spoke sites, then No that isn't possible. Each site collection works independently of each other and would need their own connector.

What issue or error are you seeing?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. The problem I have is the URL of the hub site is in the following format:

https://<sitename>.hub.<company name>.co.uk

This seems to be causing issues when I try to connect to the data. I am able to use the address in excel to connect to SharePoint and see the lists but PowerApps shows the error

“We couldn’t access your data. Please check the address or try again.”

Thanks
