I am working on a SharePoint integrated form. One of my columns is a people picker with multi-select turned on. This column automatically has an error for the Default properties.
The default property for the DataCard is set to ThisItem.CatManager and is the trigger for the error. If I unlock the card so I can see the error message, it's telling me that it expects a record value.
How would I change this to fix the issue?

I tried that and got the same result. I just now deleted the column from the data source and added a new Person column and set it to multiple select and it's working now.
That was just bizarre.
Just a random first try thought, deleting the data card and re-adding it. I just tried to re-create your issue and I didn't get any errors by default.
