SharePoint choice field doesn't gets populated with runtime value

Hi,

I have a dropdown box approver in my powerapps, which is populated with Office365 users.SearchUser functions.

Since I am populating the approver in runtime using Office365 users.SearchUser, after selecting the approver, it doesn't gets saved in SharePoint choice field approver.

May I know how to save the selected approver at runtime, into the choice field in sharepoint ?

Re: SharePoint choice field doesn't gets populated with runtime value

Hi @Kumar9024021 ,

Could you show me

1)the Items of the drop down ?

1)the formula about updating the choice column?

2)where did you use this updating formula?

I assume that you use the Display name of the result of Office365 users.SearchUser to update choice column.

If so, I've made a similar test for your reference:

1)set the drop down's Items:

Office365 users.SearchUser(.....)

2)if you use form to update, set the datacard's Update:

{Value:drop down.Selected.Display name}

if you use patch to update, set the submit button's OnSelect:

Patch(...,....,{choicecolumnname:{Value:drop down.Selected.Display name},....})

Check your Update formula for this field. It should refer to dropdownbox selected value where you select user.
