SharePoint columns of 'person or group'-type missing

When I connect to a SharePoint list with PowerApps I can select all the different columns to show, use and edit. Exept for columns of the 'person or group'-type (usually used to select a user in the organisation).

 

Does anybody know why those columns aren't shown, and how I can get them in PowerApps?

I can use person columns in datacards, but cannot set a global variable to pick up the full value of a multi-value person column (only returns first person), nor can I add even a single value person column value to a collection.

Unfortunately, data of person column isn't shown from yesterday. Does anyone knows the solutions?

This is a known issue. Sharepoint column of "People only" type do not show up in a combo box. The fix will be forthcoming soon.

Thanks for the infomation. I only hope it will be fixed soon.

The fix has been deployed. If you have already published an app with the bug, you will have to open the app in PowerApps Studio and re-publish to get the fix. We apologize for the inconvenience and are reviewing how we can prevent similar incidents from happening in future.

 

Please let me know if you still are having problems with this issue.

I am trying to get the Email of a Person in a People/Group column in a SharePoint list.

On the generated 'Details' Screen, there are 'Edit' (IconEdit1) and 'Delete' (IconDelete1) icons at the top of the screen. I want to hide those icons for everyone except for the 'Administrator'. 

SharePoint List: Events

People/Group Column Name: Administrator

(In the Sharepoint List Administrator column, I have entered myself as the value)

 

I have the following code in the 'IconEdit1' and 'IconDelete1' Visible field:

If(User() = Events.Administrator,true, false)

 

The icons are hidden from me and I get the following error: Invalid argument type. IconDelete1.Visible (same for edit)

 

I suspect that the data values (tables?) are different between User() and Events.Administrator, causing the mismatch.

I tried the following: If(User().Email = Events.Administrator.Email, true, false)

with the following additional error: Name isn't valid. This identifier isn't recognized. This error appears most commonly when a formula refers to something that no longer exists (for example, a control that you've deleted). Location: IconDelete1.Visible

 

I know that User().Email is working, as both User() and .Email were auto-suggested in PowerApps as I typed them. Events and .Administrator both auto-suggested as well, but then adding the .Email at the end DID NOT auto-suggest, indicating that this is where the problem is. I suspect that calling Events.Administrator is returning an object of some sort that relates to a person. How do I then query this object for an email?

@Anonymous Hi, you want to use the on visible property of the buttons and change their values from true/false to an if statement, something like if(User().Email = myAdministrators@email.com,true,false)

Yes, but where you have 'myAdministrators@email.com, I want to reference a sharepoint list (called 'Events') with a People/Group column (called 'Administrators'). I want to test against the email property from the People/Group columns value.
