Sharepoint Delegation

We'd like to filter items of a SharePoint library based on a folder name. We keep getting delegation warnings and as a result we do miss some items in our gallery. According to the documentation, Filter & StartsWith are delegable functions when using text data types. So to my understanding the below should work (and be delegable):

When modifying the filter to check for column Title, this does seem to be delegable (but it doesn't solve our requirement):

This makes me think the "Path" column is not of type text but the "Title" column is? Would this be the reason? If yes, where can I find the fields and types of data the SharePoint connector returns (documentation)?

Additional question, what does the '{}' mean? Does this imply being a complex type? Again, documentation might help.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Sharepoint Delegation

@Wauters

You are correct in your statement (partially) - "This makes me think the "Path" column is not of type text but the "Title" column is".

You're partly right, but the Path column is of type text.  The difference is that Path and FileName and several other columns (usually that you will see with the {}) are calculated columns (in a sense).  They don't really exist in the structure of the list/library when you define it.  However, SharePoint will generate them for you on the fly.

And...therein lies the reason you get a delegation warning - because "on the fly" columns cannot be delegated against.

Had a similar thread on this just this past week that you might want to review as well.  More importantly for a concept of how to work around it.

I hope this clears things up a bit for you and is helpful.
