Sharepoint List form submission

Hi All,

Thanks in advance.

I have created a sharepoint list.  My app form opens with a dropdown item that lists the columns values for selection.  Once selected it then displays the record in relation to the unique dropdown item.

That bit all works perfectly, i then want to change just a single field called "confirmed date".  On submission it needs to grab all the fields (including none that changed), create a new record in a new list.  This im struggling with.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @jonnygrim ,

You have to use Patch() function,
Patch(Newlist, Defaults(Newlist), {Column1: Old List column 1, Coulmn2:  Old List column 2, Coulmn3: Old List column 3})

Please Thumbs up if my post helped you solve your issue.

@jonnygrim

Can you provide some more details on how your other list is set up?  If it has the exact same columns, names and types, then you can utilize the OnSuccess action of the form and collect the form updates into another list.

ex.  Collect(yourOtherList, Patch(yourForm.LastSubmit, {ID:Blank()}))

This will create a new record in the other list with all the values of the current record of your form.

Again...this is only if your column names and types are the same.

I hope this is helpful for you.
