I am wondering if there is any way to share an app with everyone within an organization when a data source is within a private group location.
The main data sources used for this app are SharePoint lists, which are located within a private group's SharePoint site. Would everyone need access to this SharePoint site in order to be able to use the PowerApp associated with the lists in it?
Thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I've found that you don't have to share the whole site collection / subsite - just the lists.
Then give the Sharepoint Group 'Everyone' contribute access from list permissions - this is how we were able to obscure the users from being able to edit the original lists directly and forced them to use the PowerApp frontends. They'd have to guess both the site collection name and the subsite name and then the list name in order to get to them directly (not impossible, but if you give the subsite an obscure name such as DataApp44271 or some other complex name then very, very unlikely)
