Show/Hide Attachments Field based on the drop down field

Hi Everyone! This is my first PowerApps project. I'm making a request form.

How should I make the "Attachments" field be visible when the "Request Type" field is set to "Renewal"?

On the Visable property of the attachment control put in If(Requestfield.selected.value = "Renewal")

Hi @cwebb365 it returns an error.

you need to replace Requestfield with what your dropdown control is named, selected it and you should see the name on the left.

My bad, but I replaced it with "Request Type" field name. That's the field name of the dropdown.

I also tried "DataCardKey8", "Request Type_DataCard1". Still won't work. Am I doing something wrong?

it needs to match the controls on the left side in your menu. So in this case, the actual Dropdown is that Datacardvalue7 , you get type ahead as you type, so it should show up as you start typing, same with the next available values (.Selected.Value)

Still not successful. I typed in and words appear. But still don't work. 😞

Oh crap sorry, don't put If around it, just do Datacardvalue7.selected.value = "Renewal"

Past my bedtime. lol.

You can use If too but you have to add ,true, false) after it, but the above does the same thing.

I'm wondering if I do something wrong. But still it won't work.

Checking the error details, here's what I got.

Can you show the visible property text you have in there?
