Show/Hide Fields

I'm new to model-driven apps and I am attempting to show/hide a couple of different things.

  • A choices fields
  • A choice field
  • A sub-grid

Also to show/hide another field if a specific option is selected within the choice/choices field.

An example being they select Other and then an other field shows, whether that is another choice field or just text.

From what I can find Business Rules wont do it, but I can do all of this with little to no effort within a canvas app though.

Unfortunately I am thinking I will have to go the JS route, if that is my only option would you happen to have a recommended source explaining how to go about that?

Thank you for ay guidance. =D

Bahalzamon,

Since you're working with a model-driven app, you actually might have more luck over at the Dynamics community forums. Model-driven apps run on UCI so they're not like canvas apps.

You can head here:

https://community.dynamics.com/

That said, I think the JS route is pretty common in this situation, for example:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Portals/Hide-Show-options-in-Option-Set-fields/m-p/61...

Sorry, not a lot but I hope it helps!

Hi @Bahalzamon,

You can show/hide fields via business rule based on some conditions.

But for hiding and showing subgrid, have to write custom javascript.

FYI, there are tons of blogs available and also you can post your questions/queries w.r.t model driven app in dynamic CRM community.

Please mark it as solution, if it answers your question.
