Show PopUp/MessageBox when screen opens

Hi Everybody,

I created a PopUp/MessageBox and grouped the different information that belongs to it. The MessageBox contains a label, a button to go to the next page and a "X" in the corner to close the MessageBox.
All I want to do is to make the pop up visible when the user accesses the next page. They should NOT click on any button to open the MessageBox, it should open automatically when the screen opens. In the corner of the MessageBox there will be a "X" to close the MessageBox and just see the normal things on the screen

Hope someone can help 🙂

Re: Show PopUp/MessageBox when screen opens

Hey @seryil
I would use a Context Variable in this case.

Click in the screen where the MessageBox should pop up (no elements selected) -> Select the "On Visible" Property -> Set(MsgBxVisible;true).

Use this variable fot the Visible property for all the elements you want to make visible.

Use the same procedure for your X
Set(MsgBxVisible;false)

Does this help you or am i getting the wrong end of the stick?

Re: Show PopUp/MessageBox when screen opens

Hi @KChristoph,

It doesn't work. I changed the "X" to a button "No, thank you" and changed the OnSelect of the button to Set(MsgBxVisible, false). Furthermore, I changed the OnVisible of the screen to Set(MsgBxVisible, true)

But how the button know that it should close the Group which is the PopUp message? Shouldn't I change the Group.Visible to something?

Re: Show PopUp/MessageBox when screen opens

Yes, you are right. The visible property of the Group must be MsgBxVisible 🙂
