Show PowerApp version number

I have created a PowerApp that works offline. Now I'm looking for a way to show current version number of my PowerApp, for example in a lable on the startscreen. Is this possible? How do I do this? Or do I need to create my own version names for every major update?

Hello,

I have a solution for this. I've just made a video and posted it on my blog here.

Using the PowerApps for App Makers connection you can retrieve the apps versions. From there you can count all versions or count the current published version and then all previous versions.

You are looking at running something like:

ClearCollect(myAppVersionsv2,PowerAppsforAppMakers.GetAppVersions("App ID"))

App ID is the unique identifier for you app.

And then:

"<b>Version </b>"&CountIf(Ungroup(myAppVersionsv2,"value"),properties.lifeCycleId="Published" Or properties.appVersion<=publishedVersionv2)

I hope that helps.

Cheers,

Lachlan

@Lachlan_w , have you looked at this recently? I am getting an invalid function. It does not like PowerAppsforAppMakers.GetAppVersions("App ID")

You need to add the powerapps for makers connector. then this will work nicely
