Showing data from Different Sharepoinnt lists based on check box selection

Hi

I have created a custom calendar in PowerApps by using a gallery, the Items property of that gallery is set as :

ForAll(
Sequence(42),
{Value: varFirstDayOfMonth + Value - 1 - Weekday(
varFirstDayOfMonth,
StartOfWeek.Sunday
) + 1,
NextDay: varFirstDayOfMonth + Value - 1 - Weekday(
varFirstDayOfMonth,
StartOfWeek.Sunday
) + 2}
)  , then inside this gallery i have inserted another gallery(nested) and it shows events on the certain dates on this calendar. The Items property is set as:

Filter(
'Training Events List',
StartDateTime < ThisItem.NextDay
And EndDateTime >= ThisItem.Value
) where Training Events List is the datasource.

But the requirement is that i have 4 different Sharepoint lists and i want to place 4 check boxes on top of the calendar and whenever the user clicks on those check boxes (meaning selecting a different list) that particular list should be populated inside the gallery showing events on the calendar accordingly.

Please will you help me in how to achieve this.

I mentioned above in my original reply how to complete the formula. After adding in your check boxes, take your original one formula, and add in what was provided, like so:

Filter(

If( Checkbox1, 'Training Events List',

Checkbox2, 'List Number 2',

Checkbox3, 'List Number 3'

)

)

,
StartDateTime < ThisItem.NextDay
And EndDateTime >= ThisItem.Value
)

You'll have to update the names of the lists, and the names of the checkboxes, to match whatever they are in your app.

Assuming all lists have the same column names, your filter property would just have to get updated like this:

Filter(

If( Checkbox1, 'Training Events List',

Checkbox2, 'List Number 2',

Checkbox3, 'List Number 3'

)

)

If your lists have different column names, you'll have to account for that in the formula as well (and likely whatever controls you have in your galleries).

You'll also want to consider the event that a user selects multiple lists without unchecking a box (meaning they suddenly want to see all the lists at the same time).

Hi @zmorek ,

I have the same column types in my lists, but what formulas should i write on; OnCheck And Uncheck of the check boxes also how to change the complete formula for the gallery, meaning how to connect the gallery and check boxes

Hi @zmorek ,

Its working perfect, but I want the user to allow to select only one check box at a time, and if the user selects any one check box the other check box should be unchecked automatically.

Is it possible?

Hi @zmorek ,

I figured out how to let the user select only one check box at a time and automatically uncheck the other check boxes simply by using the Reset function on Oncheck property of the each check box
