So Confused, Scanning APP Roadblocked. Updating a Filtered LIST

So am building a scanning app mainly I want to be able to scan multiple Barcodes(items) and assign it to the person loaning the equipment (Dropdown with names)

I have a database with Barcodes and other fields

I have the App Scanning Barcodes to collection

I have a Gallery which filters : The Sources database against the Scanned Collection Gallery

Filter(CAMERA_KIT, Barcode in Gallery2.AllItems.Barcode)

Which in return gives me a filtered result of my Database matching the items I scanned.

When I try to Update the fitered fields using a text input it somehow updates the current selection and some other random records, Dont know why as my filtered gallery shows the correct barcodes.

UpdateIf(CAMERA_KIT,Call_x0020_Sheet = ScanResult_All.Selected.Call_x0020_Sheet, {Call_x0020_Sheet:I_CALL.Text}); Reset(ScanResult_All)

If you look at the image the 2 filtered items from my Database are the ones I want to update only no other Records.

Any help will be greatly apprecieted

Re: So Confused, Scanning APP Roadblocked. Updating a Filtered LIST

Hi @Mhashemyan,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to update the column value of the filtered results using Text Input?

If you want to update the column value of the filtered results using Text Input, I think there is something wrong with the formula that you provided.

On your side, please modify your UpdateIf formula as below:

UpdateIf(
Filter(CAMERA_KIT, Barcode in Gallery2.AllItems.Barcode),
Call_x0020_Sheet = ScanResult_All.Selected.Call_x0020_Sheet,
{
Call_x0020_Sheet:I_CALL.Text
}
);
Reset(ScanResult_All)

Note: The Filter function is used to find records in a table that satisfy a formula, and return the filtered result. The Original data source/table (on your side, it is 'CAMERA_KIT') would not be modified/filtered.

More details about the Filter function in PowerApps, please check the following article:

Filter function

Best regards,

Kris
