Static text on model-driven app forms

Hey,

I'm working on a model driven app to automate the business process of some call centre agents. They work through a call script and capture (a lot of) information about our customers.

This is all going great, but - I need to add some lines of text  (call script notes) at various places in the form(s).

e.g.

We are recording calls for training and monitoring purposes

Name: ________

Date of birth: _______

I need to ask you some questions about your pets, this will help me decide which policy will be right for you

Pet type: Dog, Cat, Goldfish....

I'm guessing I can do this with a read only multi-line text input set with a default value containing the call script notes, but that feels a little bit like a hack, surely there is a better way?

Also, perhaps I could do this with some HTML included on the form; but ideally we want to build this whole app with 0% code.

Is there a an obvious/easy/standard way to do this which I am missing?

Thanks in advance 😁

Re: Static text on model-driven app forms

You're right that this is harder than it should be. 2 other options are:

  1. Put text in section labels. However, this text is in bold, which may no look good
  2. Create Business Rule with Notifications that you can apply to fields. This can work quite well if you have a standard flow through the form where you add notifications as fields have a value

Re: Static text on model-driven app forms

Thanks David,

Really appreciate the reply.

I think using a notification triggered by a business rule might be a really nice solution for me in this case.

Thanks again, and it's good to know I wasn't missing any easy/obvious solution

Thanks again
