3 hours and no replies to my message titled
"A Sharepoint list will not work in gallery and I am at a standstill !!"
Mind you my spelling did not help.
My last message detailed a sharepoint list that will only display one record in a gallery - No explanation for this.
Supplementary to this is that any Clearcollect function I use to try to gather a collection will only return one value. I have tried with numerous different combinations on lists, but even the simplest such as ClearCollect(newtest,Clients.Company_) only returns one record. from a list of over two hunded records
What have I got wrong as I can't find any one else with this problem on the forum ???It is kind of driving me mad ! - especially as we have been told by Microsoft that this will be superior to Access Web Apps which works just fine !
All help greatly received
To test this issue, I exported my Access WebApp to SharePoint list. Then create an app based on the list.
I configured the table looks like below:
On the app, it seems that I can show all the data(just for a test, so I only fill few data to the table) on a Gallery control.
Then I try to create a collection using the same function with you: ClearCollect(test,Table1.Title)
It seems that I am not able to reproduce this issue by my steps on my side. If your steps are different with mine, please feel free correct me and help reproduce this issue on my side.
I guess you saw my reply to your reply to my latest message - Afraid i have created three messages on this subject as I was not geting any response
So - I went back to the azure connection and using the same table Quoteclient , I was able to get the gallery to show all items so there must be something up in the sharepoint connection. However using the clearcollect in the azure connection, I managed to get five, but no more than five records. Better than one but really no good !So stumped again
Why is this so difficult ???
Will ponder over the weekend
Thanks for your detailed information on this thread titled “A Sharepoint list will not work in gallery and I am at a standstill !!”:
I will take a further investigation on this issue and back to you once I got any updates for you. There might be some delay. Thanks for your patience.
In exasperation I created manually a new list with only two fields. I created 7 records. I then created a powerapp using this new list - Guess what - the clear collect only brings up 5 items.
There must be something that is preventing full download of all 7 items. I have checked all sharepoint permissions and I have full read/write.
PLEASE HELP !!!!!
