Substract hour values

Hi,

 

Im trying to make an app that can control the overtime request that are made, the only problem I ahve is that I want a field that automaticaly detemine the amount of hours each permison has.

 I have tried making a simple subtraction using the datacard value and the hour formula but it always send me and error. I attach an image as you can see what I been doing.

concatenate you date and time values to get the following format: 10/11/2014 1:50:24.765 PM (mm/dd/yyyy.....)

 

Once you get the startDateTime and EndDateTime use below to get the difference in minutes:

 

UpdateContext({DIFF: DateDiff( DateTimeValue(StartDateTime.Text),DateTimeValue(EndDateTime.Text), Minutes)})

 

you can call updatecontext either on click of submit button or on change of each drop down or datepicker.
