Syntax for patching two lookup columns from cascading dropdowns

Hi

I am trying to make what i thought to be a simple changelog powerapp

I have 3 sharepoint lists Systemlist, Serverlist, Changelog(running the powerapp)
The following columns are relevant for the powerapp.

Systemlist:
System

Serverlist:

Servername

System > lookup from system list

Changelog:

System > lookup column from Systemlist
Servername > lookup column from Serverlist

The powerapp uses two cascading dropdowns to filter System & Servername with the following syntax:

System dropdown:

Choices(Changelog.System)

Server dropdown:

Filter(Serverlist;System.Value=SystemSelect.Selected.Result).Servername
(not sure about this command, it seems to work i can only see the server running the system selected in the first dropdown)

When i try to patch System and servername i get an error that an record was expected and from a different schema.

As i understand it i cant use the normal patch syntax when using lookup columns, but so far my googlefu has failed me.

Anyone has any ides on what the correct patch command would be?

/Mattias

Hi @Mattias74

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/default-values-for-complex-sharepoint-types/

Check this post on setting default values for lookup columns

same applies for patching
