Teams Embedded Apps - Updates to App

Hello,

I am considering adding a PowerApp we use consistently to the Teams catalog of apps so that our users can launch from the sidebar vs as a channel tab. 

My only concern is if I add it to the teams catalog, does it automatically get any published changes I make to the app? OR do I have to publish and then also republish to the teams catalog?

Teams runs the current version of the App as last published.
