I cannot see the Text Property for a Text Input control in the property and when i search on the advanced with Text I can only find HintText property.

What am I Missing?

Re: TextInput Text Property

Text is an Output property on that control, to be consumed by other controls. You can't set it manually as it is not an Input property. The Default property determines its initial content.

Re: TextInput Text Property

Ok

If it is a default, how do we set the format elsewhere (the parent?)

For example, I want 69.343437 to diplay $69.34

Re: TextInput Text Property

Set Default to something like Text(Value(SomeOtherControl.Text), "$##.00") and it will show up as you like. Editing it will produce a string result, which you will then need to turn back into a number when you consume it.

There isn't an edit control that supports formatting as you type.
