The Method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter

Hello,

I created canvas app to upload a file to a document library, when I went to test it the flow is failing with this message:

 PowerAppsbutton-4_1'.Run failed: The Method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter "Updatefileproperties_Doc_ID"

I used below code in the powerapps

'PowerAppsbutton4_1'.Run(UploadOutgoingFilesButton.Media,UploadOutgoingFilesButton.FileName,department.Selected.Value,organization.Text,DataOfDocument.SelectedDate,Doc_ID.Text)

You would really need to provide some more detail on your Flow parameters than what is provided.

But, I am going to take a guess and say that your flow is expecting a numeric value for the Doc ID and it appears that perhaps you are sending a text value.

So, again a complete stab in the dark without knowing your flow and parameters, you might consider changing your formula to the following:

'PowerAppsbutton4_1'.Run(UploadOutgoingFilesButton.Media,
     UploadOutgoingFilesButton.FileName,
     department.Selected.Value,
     organization.Text,
     DataOfDocument.SelectedDate,
     Value(Doc_ID.Text)
)

Note that we are converting the text to a numeric in the last parameter.

I hope this is helpful for you.

@RandyHayes

I appreciate your quick response.

I tried the formula suggested by you, but I am getting different error now.

This error occurs if, for example, a formula contains '{Val@ 7}' instead of '{Val: 7}'. When you set a variable, the syntax requires a colon instead of an "at" symbol.

Unfortunately I am not able to determine your issue as there is not enough content to evaluate.  Please provide more details on where you are seeing this error including any screenshots or formulas where the error occurs.
