The gateway is either offline or could not be reached.

We've been connecting to and reading from On-Prem DB2 Tables all day via the On-Prem Data Gateway. About 30 mins ago, I received an error in my application stating "Server Response: The gateway is either offline or unreachable..."

I tried to connect to another DB2 only to receive a similar error:

The gateway is either offline or could not be reached.
inner exception: Gateway on endpoint '<ii>sb://</ii>' is unreachable.
inner exception: The communication object, Microsoft.ServiceBus.Channels.ClientFramingDuplexSessionChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.

I tried to fill out a PowerApps Support Ticket but received an error!

Please advise. What should I do here? This is a critical application we're trying to push out Monday!

I found a way to check the status of our On-prem Data Gateway. Might be of use to others:

  • Go to
  • Click Data
  • Click Gateways
  • Select the elipses next to the Gateway in question

@Anonymous, do you know what to look for and where to look when troubleshooting a Data Gateway that is down?

  • Where are the logs?
    • On the Data Gateway Server or?
  • What should be look for to determine if its on our side or Microsofts?

Thank you
