Time Issue - SQL DataSource

Hello Everyone,

I am developing an application which stores information about the users day to day daily tasks.

for this I am using DataSource: SQL Server

and because of that I am facing trouble in creating formulas which should be applicable.

I have an Edit form in which there is a Combo Box of Time only and when I select any particular time, the Detail From shows incorrect results and so as the Gallery.

ScreenShots:
Time Box, Items Property Formula
Time Box, Items: PropertyTime Box, Items: Property

Time Box, Update Property: Formula
Time Box, Update: PropertyTime Box, Update: Property

Time Box, Detail Form, Text: Property Formula
Time Box, Detail Form Text: PropertyTime Box, Detail Form Text: Property

I am kinda stuck in fixing this time thingy.

Need help!!

Hi @MH3 ,

To get link of this pdf file, you need these actions:

5136.PNG

Create a link for this file and then response this link to powerapps.

It looks like on the details form, you replaced a textbox or Datacardvalue with a label. If that is the case, I advise you remove the form and insert a new form and reconnect with the datasource again. After that insert a button and onselect put: ViewForm(DetailsFormName)

Hi @MH3 ,

Do you mean that the value not update or display correctly?

Could you tell me:
1)whether you update this data successfully?

I need to know the problem is about updating unsuccessfully or display incorrectly.

Please check this in your sql table.

2)the data type of Descr field, timeslot field?

3)do you want to use the value of Descr field to update timeslot field?

4)timeslot's datacard's Default property?

Since you want to display timeslot field, you need to set the timeslot's datacard's Default property to :

ThisItem.timeslot

You also need to confirm whether Descr field and timeslot field is same data type. Or else, use  Descr field value to update timeslot field will cause some problems.

What's more, some data type in sql is not supported in powerapps.

You could check the limit here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sql/

Dear Sir, @v-yutliu-msft
The Problem is Both

Right Now, I don't have access to the Database, but when I was selecting the Time from that Dropdown

it should display the same as I selected in PowerApps and in SQL Server as well.

but in PowerApps, the time is showing weird values like 1, or 3600000.

I am actually New for this connector I have worked on Excel DataSource and this same application works absolutely fine on that, but then the client changed the source to SQL and things got changed for me.

Any help!

@v-siky-msft

Any help from your side?

Hi @MH3 ,

Do you mean that you do not have permission to this sql table?

To update and view the table, you need to have read and write permission on this sql table.

Also, you need to have primary key in this table.

Or else, you can not update this table.

Could you tell me the Time field data type in sql table?

Data type in sql is quite different from these in excel table.

Dear Sir, @v-yutliu-msft

The problem is solved Thanks,

but I want to display a PDF report in PowerApps which can be printable, right now I am emailing that report which is in HTML , in

PDF formay, but the client said the report should be displayed in PDF form in powerapps is there any way??

Hi @MH3 ,

Do you want to display  HTML in PDF form?

1)You could enter html text in htmltext control.

Then the html text will display as form format.

2)If you want to display the pdf in pdf viewer control, you need firstly generated this pdf file and then upload it to onedrive or sharepoint.

Because the pdf viewer control could only fill in   HTTPS links, which directly points to the pdf file.

If you do not have any other problem, could you mark my answer as aolution?

Thanks!

Dear Sir,

 @v-yutliu-msft

I have used the HTML control to create the report, it's showing the report in HTML format, but the client that report should be generated in PDF format inside powerapps and it should be printable.

Hi @MH3 ,

I'm afraid it's not supported in powerapps.

Powerapps do not have the feather of generating pdf file or printing pdf.

Flow has these two feather, you could consider create a flow about this. Then call the flow in powerapps.

About how to build this kind of flow, I suggest you post your issue here:
