Tips for upgrading performance RSS feed fetching?

Any tips? Fetching a RSS feed from an external source and there are hundreds of items. How can I make it as fast as possible?

Assuming also that a 'load more' button can't be created. I enabled DelayedLoading for the galleries. I have some filters created with 'ClearCollect' - any chance I can do it in a way that its performance is optimal?
