Today() changing in Edit Mode

The form below is in Edit mode and will be edited several times in the future. What I like to do is have the "DateTest" field stay the original date when "Yes" was selected at that time. What happens with my current formula is the "DateTest" is changing to the current date. How can I re-write my formula so the "DateTest" field stays the same date.

You can make can use COALESCE to check if there is a saved value and control what happens if there is no saved value.

Coalesce(ThisItem.DateTest, If(DataCardValue26.Text=“Yes”, Today(), Blank()))
